Jen Dlugosz of Almonte is $2020 richer today because her ticket number 107051 was drawn at the Almonte General Hospital. Dlugosz’s ticket is one of 7,426 that have been sold since the Win2020 Hospital Lottery launched on May 1 with the goal of raising $200,000 to be shared between the Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation and the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Jen Dlugosz is still eligible for the 2nd early bird draw for $2020 which will take place Friday, June 19 at the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital and the grand prize draw on July 9 for a 2020 convertible Camaro donated by Bean Cars. Win2020 is offering 10,845 tickets in total.

Dlugosz said, “We bought tickets to support our hospital because we’re frequent flyers to the Emergency with our children, all of whom where born at AGH.”

“We are thrilled with how the Lottery is going so far,” said April Bean, General Manager, Bean Cars. By donating a 2020 Camaro, we hoped we could turn that $50,000 car into $200,000 for our two hospitals and it looks like we’re well on the way to doing that. Health care has never been so important.”

Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation and Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation launched the Win2020 Hospital Lottery on May 1 offering supporters a chance to win a 2020 convertible Camaro donated by Bean Chevrolet Buick GMC Corvette. Tickets are $25 for one or $100 for five and are only available online at www.win2020.ca. Net proceeds from the lottery will be used to purchase new or replacement equipment at the two local hospitals and Fairview Manor.

“We cannot thank Keith, April and Bean Cars enough for their generous support of high quality health care close to home,” said Mary Wilson Trider, President and CEO of both hospitals and Fairview Manor. Community support provides the funds each hospital has to purchase new and replacement patient and resident care equipment. Having hospitals and a long- term care home that are well resourced is always important, and seems even more critical when our communities are counting on us for care in uncertain times. Community members who buy tickets will help ensure that our physicians and staff continue to have the right tools with which to care for our patients and residents.”

The Win2020 Hospital Lottery is licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (License Number 11950). All net proceeds will be shared equally between the two foundations.
