Last fall, Stone Fence Theatre of Eganville toured up and down the Ottawa Valley performing a hilarious musical called High Times at the Heart Institute. Written by Ish Thellheimer, the play looked at the differences between American and Canadian healthcare through the eyes of several semi-fictitious patients at the Heart Institute. Shows were presented in Deep River, Pembroke, Eganville, Renfrew, Barry’s Bay, Almonte and Ottawa. The end result $21,000 was shared among valley hospitals and the Heart Institute.
