Our Picture of Health

Put Yourself In The Picture Of Health

In 2016, the Board of Directors for the Almonte General Hospital and Fairview Manor asked the Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation to raise $4 million. The Hospital’s ultrasound and X-ray equipment needed to be replaced. In addition, CT scans had become the standard of care, especially in emergency cases. The Foundation accepted the challenge and announced the ‘Put Yourself in the Picture’ fundraising campaign in May 2017.

As of December 2019 $1.8 million has been paid off covering the purchase of the two ultrasound machines and a new digital X-ray suite and portable digital X-ray machine.

We are now excited to be going to our second phase of ‘Put Yourself in the Picture’ for the $2.2 million to purchase a CT scanner for ‘OUR PICTURE OF HEALTH.’

Putting The Picture In Focus

Why a CT Scan?

CT scans are a standard of care. The purchase of a CT scanner will help to provide faster and more accurate diagnosis of a wide range of diseases and conditions that cannot be detected by Ultrasound or X-rays. It will allow AGH physicians to provide diagnoses more quickly and reduce the need for patients to leave the facility and their community for health care.

To ‘Put Yourself in the Picture’ and support our diagnostic imaging campaign, donors can make a one-time gift or pledge their support through monthly donations, or make a multi-year pledge towards a specific amount. All donations are eligible for a charitable receipt.

To learn more about how CT scan will enhance patient and resident care and/or how you can ensure that your picture of health benefits from the latest in medical equipment, please contact the Foundation at: aroberts@agh-fvm.com

Donors of $5,000 or more to the campaign will be recognized on the special ‘Put Yourself in the Picture’ campaign donor wall.
